Created in tribute to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This is a special edition of which only 100 pieces were made. Although not a specifically numbered edition to THE MET, this watch is part of a larger sequentially numbered edition featuring a case-back embossed with the original 1962 Seahorse. This Speedmaster First OMEGA in Space, the MET edition features:
- Red & white NATO strap with THE MET engraved on a steel strap-keeper (loop).
- THE MET - NUMBERED - EDITION is engraved on the case back.
- A special presentation box with the Metropolitan Musuem of Art logo.
Case: Brushed & polished stainless steel case. Black aluminum bezel with Tachymetre scale. Black dial. Polished time related hands, the hour & minute hands with luminous fill. White chronograph related hands. Painted luminous index hour markers. Fine printed minute/seconds & fractions of a seconds track. Small seconds sub-dial counter at 9 o'clock.
- Chronograph/Stopwatch function:
- Central seconds counter hand.
- 30 minute sub-dial at 3 o'clock.
- 12 hour sub-dial counter at 6 o'clock.
Straps: delivered with 2 straps, both straps are unworn & in brand new condition.
- Fitted on its original red & white NATO strap. The blue factory protective stickers are still intact on the steel strap loops.
- Delivered with an addition Omega brown calfskin strap with a polished stainless steel tang buckle.
Movement: Powered by Omega's manual winding iconic & classic caliber 1861, rhodium plated, beats at 21,600 vph (3 Hz), with 18 jewels & has a power reserve of +/- 48 hours.
Condition: This watch is in unworn & new condition, with all factory protective stickers still intact. The watch is delivered in its original box with all papers.
