Special edition Dark Side of the Moon APOLLO 8:
- The dial has been skeletonized to reveal its blackened movement, which has been laser-ablated to represent the lunar surface.
- The near side can be viewed through the dial & features a landscape full of craters to represent the view of moon’s surface from Earth.
- The far side can be viewed through the case-back which represents the dark side of the moon that only astronauts get to see.
- The case back is engraved with DARK SIDE OF THE MOON APOLLO 8, DEC 1968, & “WE’LL SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE” which were astronauts' Jim Lovell’s final words spoken to ground control just before the Apollo 8 traveled to the far side of the moon.
Case: Brushed & polished black ceramic case. Polished black ceramic bezel engraved & luminous filled tachymeter scale. Polished black ceramic crown & chrono pushers, the crown features an engraved & luminous filled Omega logo. Skeletonized main dial. Black dial flange & sub-dials. Blackened hour & minute hands with luminous fill. Applied blackened index hour markers with luminous fill and printed minute/seconds & fractions of a second track. Small seconds sub-dial with white miniature SATURN V ROCKET-SHIP shaped hand at 9 o'clock.

- Large central seconds hand counter with luminous filled tip.
- 30 minute counter sub-dial at 3 o'clock.
- 12 hour counter sub-dial at 6 o'clock.
Strap: Fitted on its original Omega black perforated rubber strap with yellow stitching & interior. Features a black DLC coated titanium push-button deployant buckle. This strap is unworn in brand new condition with its full wear life-span remaining.
Movement: Powered by a manual-winding METAS certified Omega caliber 3869, beats at 21,600 vph (3Hz), contains 26 jewels & has an approximate power reserve of 50 hours. The METAS certification tests water resistance, precision and magnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss. The movement also features Omega's Si14 silicon balance spring. Omegas Co-Axial escapement, and a free-sprung balance with silicon balance spring.
Condition: This watch is in brand new & unworn condition. Delivered in its original box with all papers &the original hang tag. The factory warranty is valid through 03/2030.
