Geophysic® 1958 Automatic Limited edition of 300 pieces.
A 2014 re-edition of the 1958 model which was produced by JLC for scientists of the International Geophysical Year in 1958. The original watch was designed to withstand extreme conditions. The watch boasted anti-magnetic & anti-shock qualities and very reliable accuracy, all a huge advancement back in 1958. This re-edition captures the spirit of the watch, although with a more generous case size & a newer more advanced movement.

Case: Brushed & polished stainless steel case. White dial. Applied polished hour markers. Fine printed minute/seconds track. Luminous dot hour markers on the dial flange. Polished hands, the hour & minute hands with vintage colored luminous fill. 

Strap: Fitted on its original black alligator leather strap with a stainless steel tang buckle. The strap is in excellent condition, with most of its life-span wearing time remaining. We would be comfortable rating the strap as in 90%+ condition.

Movement: Powered by a Jaeger LeCoultre in-house calibre 898/1, beats at 28,800 vph (4Hz), with 30 jewels & has a power reserve of +/- 43 hours. 

Condition: We have had this watch lightly refinished to remove most signs of wear, it is is now in excellent near-new condition. The watch is running strong & accurately, keeping great time. Delivered in its original box with all papers.
