Case: Black CERMET & Titanium case - CERMET is a high-tech material consisting of aluminum reinforced with particles of ceramic and then covered with a protective coating of ceramic. The CERMET case-back carries the motif appearing on the 1959 watch, featuring a frogman surrounded by bubbles. Polished stainless steel crown & buttons. Matte black dial. Applied index hour marker with luminous fill. Fine printed minutes/seconds & fractions of a second track. Polished hands, the hour & a minute hands are luminous filled rectangle in shape & with with needle tips.
- Chronograph functions:
- Large white central seconds counter.
- 30 minute counter sub-dial at 3 o'clock.
- 12 hour counter sub-dial at 9 o'clock.
- Chronograph operation indicator located beneath the Jaeger LeCoultre logo.
- Completely white indicated that the chronograph is not running or engaged.
- White/Red indicates that the chronograph is currently running.
- Completely red indicates that the chronograph is engaged but has been stopped/paused.
Strap: Fitted on its original nylon fabric strap with a matte black CERMET buckle. The strap is in overall excellent condition with majority of its life-span remaining, we would categorize the strap as in 85% condition.
PLEASE NOTE: an additional hole has been punched into the strap to accommodate the original owners wrist. A brand new replacement strap can be ordered in for an additional $350.
Movement: Powered by a Jaeger LeCoultre in-house caliber 758 which is composed out of 340 parts, beats at 28,800 vph, contains 47 jewels & has a power reserve of +/- 65 hours.
Condition: In overall excellent near new condition, with only very minor signs of wear. The watch is working strong & keeps accurate time. Delivered in its original retro style JLC box (the same design used in the original series) with all papers.
