IWC pays tribute to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, best-selling author, famed pilot & adventurer. His book Le Petite Prince has captured the hearts of young and old since its initial publication in 1936. Engraved on the back of the case is the little prince with his coat and sword.
Case: Brushed stainless steel case with polished beveled corners. Soft-iron inner case for protection against magnetic fields. Blue dial with afine sunray finish. Polished hour, minute & power reserve hands with luminous fill. White central seconds hand. Painted white hour markers & minute track. Quarter hour indexes & triangle at the 12 o'clock are luminous. Date window at 6 o'clock. Power reserve indicator sub-dial at 3 o'clock.
Straps:
- Fitted on an IWC original pilot riveted black calfskin leather strap with a stainless steel deployant buckle. The strap is in new & unworn condition with its full wear lifespan remaining.
- Delivered with an additional IWC original pilot riveted brown calfskin strap. The strap is in decent condition with the much of it wear lifespan remaining. We would rate this strap in 80% overall condition.
Movement: Powered by an IWC in-house caliber 51111, which beats at 21,600 vph, contains 42 jewels & has an impressive power reserve of 168 hour or 7 days.
Condition: In excellent near new condition. This watch completed a full factory service on 08/14/2023. As part of the factory service, the watch was polished to remove most signs of wear & a new strap was fitted to the watch. Delivered in its original box with all papers. A copy of the factory service letter is included.
