Pre-owned Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Automatic MIL-SPEC 5008-1130-b52a

LIMITED & NUMBERED EDITION OF 500 PIECES: Blancpain re-interprets one of its vintage pieces from the 1950s: the Fifty Fathoms MIL-SPEC with a circular water-tightness indicator. If liquid were to leak into the watch case, a disk at 6 o’clock would signal the problem by changing its color from white to red. This water-tightness indicator was present on the dial of the Fifty Fathoms model called the MIL-SPEC 1, which was introduced in 1957-58.

Case: Polished stainless steel case. Uni-directional rotating bezel with luminous indications, covered with a domed sapphire crystal. Black dial. Hands with luminous fill. Luminous hour markers. Printed minute track on dial perimeter. Date window between 4 & 5 o'clock.

Strap: Fitted on its original Blancpain black sail-cloth canvas strap, with blue/grey stitching & a polished stainless steel tang buckle. The strap is barely worn & in near perfect condition.

Movement: Powered by Blancpain’s in-house automatic winding caliber 1151, with a silicon mainspring, comprising 210 components including two series-coupled mainspring barrels and offering an impressive four-day power reserve.  The rotor is solid gold with a NAC coating (a platinum alloy) and bears Blancpain logo.

Condition: The watch is delivered with the original 9" x 7" x 4" Peli water resitant carrying/storage case. The watch is only a few months old, originally sold in 11/2017, and has barely been worn. The watch is in overall excellent, very near new condition.
