About Hublot Watches

Hublot watches began in 1976 when Carlo Crocco moved to Switzerland and created the first Hublot wristwatch. The name is derived from the French word for “porthole”. It took him three years to research and manufacture the first Hublot timepiece which featured a natural rubber strap and a porthole style case. Hublot quickly became a popular choice among celebrities and royalty and a top Swiss brand due to its innovative design and workmanship. The unique combination of rubber and precious metal became the trademark design of the Hublot brand. In 2005 the Hublot Big Bang chronograph watch was introduced and became an instant best seller and winning quite a few awards. They then created a Ladies Big Bang in different metals and precious stones. Building on the success of the Big Bang watches, Hublot introduced the Bigger Bang watches, Spirit of Big Bang, King Power, Big Bang Classic Fusion collection, Classic Fusion Aerofusion and the Hublot Tutti Frutti.

In 2008 the luxury group LVMH acquired Hublot and has since expanded the brands factory which designed and created in-house movements such as the Hublot UNICO which is a dial-side column-wheel chronograph movement. Beginning in 2011 they started introducing unique higher-end timepieces starting with the MP-01 featuring a tonneau shaped case with a manual wind mono-pusher chronograph movement and an impressive 10 day power reserve to the MP-02 which has a unique three speed adjustable movement and the MP-06 a completely skeletonized Tourbillon.

Hublot continues to develop and expand its vast collection of watches providing a distinctive line of high quality wristwatches.
